Johnson Lake Dam is not far at all from Davis Lake; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Opelika is a good location to spend a night or two. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Davis Lake get into the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's, and overnight lows at Davis Lake throughout the wintertime       regularly fall into the 30's. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Uchee, and while you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Rolling Hills Golf Course. If you came to camp Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a glorious place to do that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Johnson Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Davis Lake a reasonably wet location;                  March is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Davis Lake there are plenty of folks from Auburn-Opelika; if you come at the right time of year, Sougahatchee Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. Camping at Bar-w RV Park is always a tremendous experience, and Best Western Auburn/Opelika Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest.
