     Big Sandy Cutoff is an interesting spot to explore while at Cypress Pond; there are other places here than Cypress Pond, for example Big Lake. Not far from Cypress Pond, you'll discover Moon Lake which is a pretty lake, and since you're here, you could take a look at Big Sandy Creek. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Cypress Pond. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 70's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's  
   with temperatures at Cypress Pond dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Cypress Pond commonly gets a large amount of precipitation; during March this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Payne Lake Nature Trail; if you need a place to stay Courtyard Tuscaloosa is a great choice. You'll meet a lot of people from Tuscaloosa here, also Big Cypress Lake Dam is
 
               worth going to while you're here. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Cypress Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inn Tuscaloosa, and playing golf is lots of fun at Mimosa Golf Course.
Bald Bar is a brilliant place to visit near Cypress Pond. There's so much to do here at Cypress Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Knox Hill RV Resort is a good place for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Bob's Campground and Marina is a glorious spot to do that.
