Blair Point is in close proximity and always splendid to go to, and there are some great whitewater spots on Honeycomb Creek. A trip to Collier Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Blair Spring, and a round of golf at nearby Hampton Cove Golf Course is a delightful way to kill some time. The       high level of rainfall makes Collier Lake a rather wet place; March is when you get the most rain here, and August on the other hand is the driest. Camping is available at Ditto Landing, and Salty Bottom is a delightful site to explore while in the neighborhood. For the period of the long summer days here at Collier Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place                  gets highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Collier Lake drop into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Collier Lake from Huntsville, you won't be the only one, and you could always look at Potts Hollow. Collier Lake really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. This lake is so wonderful. Hurricane Creek is a charming stream that is worth taking a look at, and the view of Reed Mountain is charming. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Shoal Creek, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Collier Lake is Monte Sano State Park. What a site this is for outdoors people.
