There's so much to do here at College Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lakeside Campground and Marina is a nice site for that. A lake nearby is Concord Lake, and Key West Inn Roanoke is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side trip to Beaverdam Creek, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Valley. High temperatures at College Lake through the days       of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at College Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. A great deal of rain falls at College Lake; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. Very good water scenery is available at College Lake Dam right next door to College Lake;                  if you came to camp Fernwood Point is a nice location to do that.
