You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the area near Clarks Lake has to offer. There's whitewater on Salt Creek for all you adrenaline kick people; you're sure to run into some fine people from Anniston-Oxford here. This lake is so wonderful. A great spot to go to near Clarks Lake is Lee Gap. If       you need a site to stay Sleep Inn Oxford is a great choice, and let's not forget Bee Branch which is a stream that you may bump into while here. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ANNISTON/OXFORD; if you came for an overnight stay Fernwood Point is a fine spot to camp. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Clarks Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter this place                  gets highs in the 50's while Clarks Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. Enjoy a round of golf at Clay County Public Golf Course not far from Clarks Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Lake David. All the water falling down from the sky makes Clarks Lake a wet location; the month with most of the rain is March, and October on the other hand is the driest.
