If you are in Clay county it's always a good idea to stop by City Lake. Lakes are fine; Lake McCrary is a lake that's close to City Lake, and McCrary Dam is an interesting thing to check out. High temperatures at City Lake all through the summer months are in the 90's while night lows are typically in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at City Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.

Inn Oxford is a glorious choice; hiking along the Odum Trail is magnificent fun. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salt Creek; if you came to camp Cheaha Resort State Park is a splendid site to do that. This is a good neighborhood
for people who like lakes. Lineville Lake is a lake nearby; get wet paddling on Cheaha Creek. City Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most while October is commonly the driest month.
