The high level of rain makes Chitwoods Lake a pretty wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Rainsville Country Club is a brilliant way to kill some time. You'll need more than a day to discover       everything Chitwoods Lake has to offer, you can camp at Wills Creek RV Park. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Chitwoods Lake. While you're here at Chitwoods Lake, you could also have a look at beautiful Dry Pond; Hampton Inn Fort Payne is a glorious site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect nearby hotel is Best Western Rainsville Inn. You'll locate a delightful lake called Fletcher Gilberts Lake near Chitwoods                  Lake, and you can stay the night at Sylvania Lake. Through the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Chitwoods Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Chitwoods Lake. There are some nice whitewater spots on Kirby Creek, also Chitwood Dam is worth visiting while you're here.
