     There's so much to do here at Catfish Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lucy's Branch L.l.c. is a fine place for that, and a lake close by is Lake Number Seven. A quick trip to Buffalo Creek in the neighborhood of Catfish Lake is a good idea; if you need a spot to stay Value Place Bessemer is a glorious choice. You could also have a look at Million Dollar Lake while you're here at Catfish Lake; it's close by, and dry warm beds await you at Greystone  
   Inn and Suites. This lake is so wonderful.
So many cool things right next door to Catfish Lake, simply extraordinary. A fine site next to Catfish Lake is Norwood Gap, and enjoy a round of golf at Tannehill National Golf Course. The warmest time of the year at Catfish Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at
 
               Catfish Lake are in the 20's. Much rain falls at Catfish Lake; the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is September.
Lake Number Seven Dam is charming and it's near Catfish Lake; West Red Mountain is delightful and can be spotted from here. This lake is so wonderful. Catfish Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Mc Calla Koa Kampground is a glorious local campground, and Six Mile Bend is a delightful whitewater spot nearby.

This lake has been around for a long time. Years ago, before the I-20/59 interstate was built, it was indeed a great place to fish as I understand it. Now the lake is full of vegetation and difficult to fish or navigate a boat. Also difficult to enter and launch a boat as the roads leading in are washed out and muddy....
