This is a brilliant neighborhood for people who like lakes. The Booger Hole is a lake close at hand; if you come at the right time of year, Mill Creek offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Swan Pond, and a pleasant close by hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Huntsville Airport/Madison. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do near The Cat Hole. A wonderful

| | view of delightful Barkley Mountain is available from The Cat Hole; unsurprisingly Barren Fork Creek is a pretty stream that is worth going to. The Cat Hole is a pretty wet place generally with a great deal of rain; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and August is the month with the least moisture.

with highs in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for The Cat Hole tend to be in the 20's. Soar down the rapids of Cotaco Creek in a kayak. A fine location to stop at in the neighborhood of The Cat Hole is Indian Creek Bar;
if you need a place to stay Four Points By Sheraton Huntsville Airport is a perfect choice.
A tremendous swamp near The Cat Hole is Talley Bottom, and you'll probably meet some folks from Huntsville here. This lake is so wonderful.
If you're hooked on cool geologic traits, try Moon Bottom; a delightful spot to camp here at The Cat Hole is Point Mallard Campground. Don't leave The Cat Hole without first paying a visit to Cove Spring, and camping at Ditto Landing is always a pleasant experience.
