The Cat Hole is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Point Mallard Campground is a magnificent local campground, and Barkley Mountain       is clearly visible from The Cat Hole. So many amusing things to do here at The Cat Hole, too perfect to be true. Do pop by Swan Pond in the vicinity of The Cat Hole, it's a pretty lake; soar down the rapids of Mill Creek in a kayak. A lot of precipitation falls at The Cat Hole; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is August. Summer brings highs in the 80's to The Cat Hole, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.                  Through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at The Cat Hole are in the 20's. Baymont Inn and Suites is a glorious location to get some rest; a wonderful lake like The Booger Hole is a pleasant place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave The Cat Hole without first checking out Moon Bottom, and why not visit a swamp like Talley Bottom since you're here at The Cat Hole. The wonderful folks of Huntsville like to hang out nearby; there's some flowing water nearby, Barren Fork Creek is a stream you can take a look at while here.
