All through the summer at Carters Lake highs are typically       in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Carters Lake are in the 30's. Why not camp at Cheaha Resort State Park if you're here at Carters Lake, and do pop by Morgan Lake, it's a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. Nixon Branch is a good local stream. Carters Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly                  March, that's the one that rains the most while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Carters Lake, you can go for a hike along the Odum Trail, and camping is available at Country Court RV Park. Abel Gap is a fine place to stop by near Carters Lake; a delightful close by hotel is Sleep Inn Oxford. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site.
