All the water falling down from the sky makes Camp Mac Lakes a wet place; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is October. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the area near Camp Mac Lakes has to offer. You're sure to bump into some great people from Anniston-Oxford       here, and a short tour to Salt Creek Falls is always worthwhile. Not far from Camp Mac Lakes, you'll find Camp Mac Lake Number 1 which is a lovely lake, and Mac Lake Lower Lake Dam has glorious water scenery. At Camp Mac Lakes all through the summertime months highs are in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 50's, and night lows at Camp Mac Lakes during the winter ordinarily drop into                  the 30's. A good location for whitewater paddling right next door to Camp Mac Lakes is Salt Creek, and a great place to camp here at Camp Mac Lakes is Cheaha Resort State Park. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Camp Mac Lakes, for example Camp Mac Lake Number 2, and after a long day outdoors SUPER VALUE INN OXFORD is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
