     Tannehill Historical State Park is a good campground nearby. Lakes? Sure, McKnight Lake is nearby. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Brimwood Lakes. Stay the night at Mc Calla Koa Kampground, and as expected Middle Branch is a wonderful stream that is worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Greystone Inn and Suites is a wonderful choice, also McKnight Lake Dam is worth taking a look at if you're here. If you  
   come at the right time of year, Six Mile Bend offers some great whitewater, and Robinson Lake is a glorious lake nearby.
A delightful nearby hotel is Value Place Bessemer; in close proximity to Brimwood Lakes you come across a golf course called Tannehill National Golf Course. All the water falling down from the sky makes Brimwood Lakes a wet place; March is the wettest month with most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
 
               At Brimwood Lakes during the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Brimwood Lakes tend to be in the 30's.

This lake has been around for a long time. Years ago, before the I-20/59 interstate was built, it was indeed a great place to fish as I understand it. Now the lake is full of vegetation and difficult to fish or navigate a boat. Also difficult to enter and launch a boat as the roads leading in are washed out and muddy....
