Go to Boyles Gap Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. At Boyles Gap Lake Dam next to Boyles Gap Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Fultondale Birmingham Area is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Boyles Gap Lake. Get covered with water paddling on Cahaba River, and City of Hoover RV Park is a tremendous local campground. High temperatures at Boyles Gap Lake through the days of summer are in the 90's. down into the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Boyles Gap Lake are in the 30's.
You'll meet a lot of folks from Birmingham-Hoover here, and if you're here why not
go to Boyles Gap. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Gurley Creek in a kayak, of course you could also stop at Pawnee Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. Near Boyles Gap Lake you stumble on a golf course called Highland Park Golf Course, and M and J RV is a great campground nearby.
