Dam Number One has wonderful water scenery and it's right next door to Bolton Lake, and Backbone Mountain is a peak you can distinguish from Bolton Lake. The high level of rain makes Bolton Lake a relatively wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. All through the warm months, highs regularly are in the 90's at Bolton Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.

| | High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's; nighttime lows during the winter for Bolton Lake tend to be in the 30's. There's tremendous hiking along the Odum Trail, and do check out Gilpins Lake, it's a scenic lake. So many entertaining things to do here at Bolton Lake, too good to be true. you're here at Bolton Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Talladega-Sylacauga. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Cheaha Creek in a kayak, and while you're here, you could also have a look at scenic Lake
Pruitt. Get dripping wet paddling on Talladega Creek; a good close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Talladega. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites TALLADEGA is a magnificent choice; Shadyoaks Campground and RV Park is a pleasant campground nearby.

The last 2 miles before Henderson Lake road is all private land. It is so low and narrow with dead falls everywhere there is no way to navigate it in any kind of craft.... |
