A great close by hotel is Days Inn Childersburg, and a lake close by is Railroad Lake. Here at Blue Spring Lake there are plenty of people from Talladega-Sylacauga, naturally you could also check out Jackson Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Spring Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, De Soto       Caverns Park is a nice place to camp nearby, and Laniers Mountain is clearly visible from Blue Spring Lake. Blue Spring Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Blue Spring Lake has it all. A short journey to Blue Spring is always worthwhile; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Meadows                  Golf Course is in close proximity. Stay the night at Logan Landing Campground; if you need a location to stay Key West Inn-Childersburg is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Through the summer months at Blue Spring Lake highs are mostly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
