Go to Blue Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Roosters is a good local campground, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn Of Centre is a glorious choice. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Blue Pond. If you come at the right time of year, Bear Creek offers some tremendous whitewater, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Johnnies Creek.

| | A perfect nearby hotel is University Inn and Suites, and there are other spots here than Blue Pond, for example Terrapin Creek Lake Number 8. Blue Pond regularly gets a great deal of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October is when it's the driest. A great spot to camp here at Blue Pond is Cowan Creek Grocery and Marina, and the vista of wonderful Brown Mountain is perfect. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Blue Pond. | |

For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Blue Pond. Garvin Spring is always fun to check out, and Norton Lake is a nice lake nearby.
