Why not camp at Cheaha Resort State Park while you're here at Blue Pond, and Boiling Spring is a great local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. If you're dropping by Blue Pond from Anniston-Oxford, you won't be the only one, and Jameson Inn Oxford is a nice location to get some rest. There are some splendid whitewater spots on       Salt Creek, and camping is available at Country Court RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Blue Pond without first going for a hike along the Odum Trail. Summertime highs at Blue Pond usually tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Blue Pond are in the 30's. Blue Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of                  the year is generally March, that's the one that rains the most, and October is when it's the driest. If you need a location to stay Comfort Suites Oxford is a good choice, and if you've had enough of Blue Pond, Robertsons Lake is close by. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the vicinity of Blue Pond.
