    The beauty of The Blue Hole is reason enough to stop by. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a good place to spend a night or two; you'll in all probability meet some folks from Scottsboro here. Summer at The Blue Hole comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to The Blue Hole. Visiting Russell Cave  
   National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and no need to travel far to explore interesting stuff like High View.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop at Kings Bend also while you're here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around The Blue Hole; River Mont Cave Historical Trail is a nice local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Coon Gap is in close proximity to The Blue Hole and is undeniably a splendid spot to pop by, and camping
 
               at Thunder Canyon Campground is always a good experience. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Blue Hole rules! Looking for some flowing water? Try Bowman Branch, and drift down the rapids of Coon Creek in a kayak.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Winding Stairs; a good site to camp here at The Blue Hole is Delaney's Travel Trailer Park. Best Western Rainsville Inn is a great place to get some rest, and get wet paddling on Flat Rock / Coon Creek.
The high level of rain makes The Blue Hole a pretty wet place; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is October.
