Warrior River - Locust Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and why not camp at Country View RV Park since you're here at Blackwood Ponds. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Hazerig Upper Pond in the vicinity of Blackwood Ponds, and at Blackwood Ponds you can observe Flat Top. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Warrior River - Calvert Prong of the Locust Fork, and       the scenery at Hazerig Lake Dam is charming. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Hanceville is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and you have to beyond doubt stop by Scirum Bluff during your stay. Looking for some flowing water? Try Austin Creek; there are other spots here than Blackwood Ponds, for example Hazerig Lake. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun.
