All the water falling down from the sky makes Black Lake a wet location; the month with most of the rain is March while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend South Sauty Creek, and Mink Creek Bar is also a fine place to look at. Lots of people from Scottsboro come to Black Lake. Be careful coming to Black Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Don't forget to take a good little spree to South Sauty Creek, and camping is available at South Sauty Creek Store. Summer at Black Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.
