     Dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inn Tuscaloosa; why not take a refreshing hike along the Payne Lake Nature Trail. If you need a place to stay Courtyard Tuscaloosa is a fine choice, and there are other locations here than Big Lake, for example Moon Lake. High temperatures at Big Lake throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime this  
   place gets highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Big Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a side spree to Big Sandy Creek, and you don’t have to go far from Big Lake to see the water at Big Cypress Lake Dam. Not far from Big Lake, you'll stumble on Snag Lake which is a gorgeous lake; Big Sandy Cutoff is an out of the ordinary place to check out while at Big Lake. So many amusing things to do at Big Lake,
 
               so little time. A spree to Bald Bar is always fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Payne Lake Westside Campground is a magnificent site to camp.
Big Lake frequently gets a great deal of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is October. During your tour to Big Lake you'll meet some people from Tuscaloosa for sure, and why not camp at Knox Hill RV Resort while you're here at Big Lake.
