    Beaver Lake is a lake worth visiting. And that's not all you can do here at Beaver Lake. Looking for something near Beaver Lake? Goose Pond is close at hand, and there's whitewater on Mill Creek for all you thrill seekers. Beaver Lake is not far at all from Decatur, and at Decatur Harbor near Beaver Lake there are some exciting things to see. Through the warm months here at Beaver Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Beaver Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Flint Creek - East Fork, and after a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Decatur is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. Beaver Lake is a reasonably wet place mostly with a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is commonly the driest month.

This lake is now Sun Lake and is a private community lake for residents. It used to be one of the best public pay access lakes in the state for large bass. Was more of a spring fed swamp back then and has been blasted and manicured with apartments and homes (waterfront) The old spring house and the original dam are still in place. Small boat ramp is available to residents no outboards electric only....
