At Bailey Lake you can see Candler Mountain; if you need a spot to stay Best Western Horseshoe Inn is a good choice. Don't forget to take a great little spree to Candler Branch; Bailey Lake is not the only site nearby, Baker Creek Lagoon is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. And if that's not enough, there's a load       more to do right next door to Bailey Lake. An afternoon playing golf at Hatchett Creek Golf Course and Driving Range is always a bliss, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elkahatchee Creek. The high level of precipitation makes Bailey Lake a pretty wet site; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake                  is so wonderful. Bailey Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Wind Creek State Park is a fine local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Alexander City.
