Why not camp at Coosa River Camp Retreat Alabama if you're here at Baggetts Lake; you are near Higdon Point if you're here. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Leeds is a fine spot to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure, North Valley View Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Cahaba River is a fine whitewater spot in close proximity to Baggetts Lake; Roaring Hollow is certainly a great place to have a look

| | at. Coosa Lodge Lake Dam is not far at all from Baggetts Lake; Tater Hill is uncomplicated to spot from Baggetts Lake. Camping is available at Holiday Travel Park, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Bass Hotel & Suites is a good choice. There are plenty of folks from Talladega-Sylacauga here at Baggetts Lake, and swing by Hurricane Creek it's a delightful site to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Ledbetter Lake Number 2 which is a wonderful lake. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Baggetts Lake. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 50's while Baggetts Lake overnight
low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 30's. Baggetts Lake commonly gets a great deal of rain; through March this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.

 | 12 miles away ...e flats. Luckily the scenery is good and there is plenty of wildlife to enjoy. The put in at Lovic bridge is tricky. Its a pretty steep grade and full of mud and sand. I ended up just getting in my canoe and slidding down the hill into the water. Thats a good way to flip so take a friend and you could rope your boat down much easier. The take out at Grants Mill is alot nicer. It has a nice gravel parking lot and a concrete ramp down to the river with a concrete docking pad in the water. You NEED to go look at the take out before you go on your trip though. The take out is nice but its positioned weirdly. You come down river to it after your last rapid and if the water is up or moving along well then you really have to back paddle to make the docking pad. Also if you miss the pad the current picks up dead even with the pad and will take you on down river before you realize it. Just check the weather and the USGS sites for the water level and better yet go look at it at the put in and the take out to get a better idea if you can.
