During the warm months highs here at Young Lake get into the 60's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Young Lake sink into the 20's. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore       close by Cropley Lake; Silverbow Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest. Young Lake frequently gets lots of precipitation; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is April. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Slide Lake is in close proximity, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Lemon Creek. You're sure to stumble upon some friendly people from Juneau here; there's good hiking along the Moller                  Ski Trail. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Eaglecrest, and beaches are good and Young Beach is no exception. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are really abundant here at Young Lake. Why not camp at Auke Bay RV Park since you're here at Young Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Young Lake; Mount Roberts Trail is a great local trail.
