This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. Wishbone Lake is a location that is relatively dried out commonly; September is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is March. Camping at Elks Campground is always a great experience; get yourself into a kayak and hit Wolverine Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Moose Creek in a kayak. Lakes are tremendous;       Kleinsmith Lake is a lake that's close to Wishbone Lake. A tremendous nearby hotel is Gold Miners Hotel, and after a long day outdoors Agate Inn is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. This lake is one of the great places here in the Talkeetna Mountains. For the duration of the days of summer at Wishbone Lake highs are usually in the 60's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 20's with temperatures                  at Wishbone Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Talkeetna Mountains.
