Summer overnight lows descend down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs       down to the 0's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Wheat Lake drop into the-20's. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Wheat Lake is Chakina River, and of course Tractor Creek flows through this neighborhood. Wheat Lake is pretty waterless ordinarily; July is the month that gets the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture.
