The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Wasilla Lake is frequently a pretty dried out place; during the month of September you get the most rain around here; April on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to the Talkeetna Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you need a site to stay ALASKAS SELECT INN WASILLA is a nice choice, and Settlers       Bay Golf Club is a good golf course close by. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Eagle River. A glorious site to camp here at Wasilla Lake is Iceworm RV Park; if you come at the right time of year, Little Susitna River offers some brilliant whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Grand View Inn And Suites; Wasilla Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Denali River Cabins and RV Park is a perfect local campground.                  High temperatures at Wasilla Lake through the warm months are in the 60's. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's.
