A wonderful lake like Upper Trail Lake next to Vagt Lake is a wonderful location to visit, and going for a hike along the Johnson Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Throughout the warm days of summer at Vagt Lake temperatures are commonly in the 60's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter       nights at Vagt Lake are in the 10's. From a precipitation point of view Vagt Lake is a relatively common place; the month with most of the rain is October, and May is when it's the driest. If you need a site to stay Alaska Hamptons is a great choice; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Grant Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Vagt Lake that you need to camp here for a while, A Creekside Trailer Park is a magnificent                  spot for that; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Sixmile River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Trail Lake Lodge, and Crown Point is quite close. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Vagt Lake. Kenai Fjords National Park is a brilliant national park, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Carter Lake Trail. Lakes are such calm locations, why not stop at Lower Trail Lake near Vagt Lake, and why not a little side journey to Falls Creek.
