at nearby Anchorage Golf Course is a pleasant way to kill some time; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Ship Creek.
There are other spots here than University Lake, for example Cheney
Lake, and Russian Jack Springs is a good local attraction. The slopes of Alpenglow At Arctic Valley are so inviting noone can resist, and Alaskan European B&B is a tremendous site to get some rest. If you haven’t been to Katmai National
Park & Preserve, you ought to schedule some time for it since you're here, and hey, Gotta ski right? Hilltop is a fine place to do that.
And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do in close proximity to University Lake.
Going for a hike along the Bull Rock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if you come at the right time of year, Campbell Creek offers some glorious whitewater. If you need a place to stay Country Rose Manor B&B is a nice choice; lakes are such calm locations, why not pop by Triangle Lake.
