The beauty of Twin Lakes is reason enough to stop by. If you come at the right time of year, Kenai River offers some fine whitewater; don't leave Twin Lakes without first going for a hike along the Russian Lakes Trail. There's so much to do here at Twin Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Sunrise Inn and RV Park is a perfect site for that; good hiking is available along the Schooner Bend Trail. Twin Lakes is generally a pretty dehydrated place;

| | the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest month is April. This lake is so wonderful. Lake View Bed and Breakfast is a splendid place to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Fuller Lake Trail. Through the summer, highs regularly are in the 60's at Twin Lakes; the night is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Twin Lakes.
