There are some delightful whitewater spots on Willow Creek; people from Anchorage love to come here. There's whitewater on Sheep Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and Best Western Lake Lucille Inn is a great place to get some rest. Twelvemile Lake gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly September, that's the one that rains the most, and April is the month with the least moisture. There's       so much to do here at Twelvemile Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Riverside Camper Park is a perfect place for that; if you've had enough of Twelvemile Lake, Bench Lake is nearby. If time allows, Denali National Park & Preserve is a national park worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Microtel Inn and Suites Anchorage Area -Eagle River- is a fine place to spend a night or two, naturally you could also check out Teakwood                  Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Summertime highs at Twelvemile Lake frequently tend to be in the 60's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's with temperatures at Twelvemile Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
