For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 20's while Trap Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. If you get bored of Trap Lake, you could also stop by nearby Blueberry Lake, and get drenched paddling on Tsina River. A great deal of precipitation falls at Trap Lake; the month of September is the wettest       with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is June. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is a national park worth checking out. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Chugach Mountains. A lake close by is Greyling Lake, and float down the rapids of Lowe River in a kayak.
