Tonsina Lake is a lake worth visiting. Around Tonsina Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here, and April is when it's the driest. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Tonsina River; Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is a pleasant local destination. The Chugach Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

| | time of year, Tsina River offers some good whitewater, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Greyling Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Klutina Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Summertime highs at Tonsina Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 0's, and overnight lows at Tonsina Lake through the wintertime usually drop into the-20's.
