There are some great whitewater spots on Tsina River, and the Klutina Lake Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close by. The Chugach Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Tonsina Lake generally tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 0's, and winter nights come       with lows in the-20's to Tonsina Lake. Around Tonsina Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; during July this area sees the most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to the Chugach Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. After a long day outdoors Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. Lakes are nice; Trap Lake is a lake that's close to Tonsina Lake. Greyling Creek                  is a stream that you may come across while here, and you're most likely interested in lakes, Greyling Lake is one of those close by.
