Go to Thirtymile Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Thirtymile Lake is located in the Talkeetna Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Matanuska River offers some nice whitewater, and a good close by hotel is Gold Miners Hotel. Getting to Linquist Creek from Thirtymile Lake is simple, and if you get bored of Thirtymile Lake you could also have a look at close by Chain Lakes. Just can't get enough of Thirtymile Lake. Going for a hike along the Chickaloon Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and glide down the rapids of Kings River in a kayak. All through the warmest time of the year at Thirtymile Lake highs are frequently in the 60's, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, typically in the 40's.
