Take a hike on the Fresh Water Thayer Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Prospector Hotel. Thayer Lake mostly gets much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently October, that's the one that rains the most, and June is when it's the driest. At Thayer Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 60's. For the       duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Thayer Lake fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
