During the summer months at Thayer Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 60's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Thayer Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Thayer Lake is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a lot of rainfall; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and       June is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Thayer Lake; Distin Lake Trail is a nice local trail, and dry warm beds await you at Prospector Hotel.
