Tatondan Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Around Tatondan Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is glorious here at Tatondan Lake, you can go for a hike along the Chickaloon Knik Nelchina Trail. Tatondan Lake is located in the Talkeetna Mountains.

Packsaddle Gulch is a splendid place to stop by close by, and a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is Hicks Creek.
