Taku Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. An exciting thing to explore near Taku Lake is Taku Cannery Dam; after a long day outdoors Juneau Hotel is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. A trip to nearby Grave Point is very relaxing, and you can catch a sight of Taku Mountain from Taku Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Carlson Creek, and you're sure to run into some nice people from Juneau here.

| | All through the summer at Taku Lake highs are generally in the 60's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while Taku Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. Lots of rain falls at Taku Lake; the wettest month of the year is regularly October, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is April.
