Summer brings highs in the 60's to Takatz Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 30's, and night lows at Takatz Lake through the winter regularly dip into the 20's. Takatz Lake generally gets a great deal of rainfall; October is the month that gets the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       This lake is so wonderful. Sitka Super 8 Motel is a wonderful location to get some rest, and don't leave Takatz Lake without first going for a hike along the Sitkoh Lake Trail. Good hiking is available along the Redoubt Lake Trail. Lakes? Sure, Kasnyku Lake is in the neighborhood.
