Hiking is a popular thing to do around Symphony Lake; Crow Pass Trail is a great local trail. Be careful coming to Symphony Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. While you're here at Symphony Lake, you could also pop by gorgeous Eagle Lake, and there's splendid hiking along the Bird Creek Trail. Grand View Inn And Suites is a tremendous spot to get       some rest, and from Symphony Lake you get a great sight of Harp Mountain. That right there is a lot of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Chugach Mountains has it all. Peters Creek Campground is a magnificent campground nearby; Eagle River is a great whitewater spot close by. Symphony Lake gets very little rain; September is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is April. Stay the night at Thunder Bird Falls Campground,                  and dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inn and Suites Anchorage Area -Eagle River-. This lake is so wonderful. Edmonds Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at; in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bird Creek. Summertime highs at Symphony Lake frequently tend to be in the 60's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are usually in the 10's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Symphony Lake temperatures descend to the 0's.
