For the period of the summer at Symphony Lake highs are commonly in the 60's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are regularly in the 10's while Symphony Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Eagle River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by, and after a long day outdoors Grand View Inn And Suites is a nice site to       spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Bird Creek Trail; dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inn and Suites Anchorage Area -Eagle River-. Symphony Lake is pretty dry usually; September is the month that gets the most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Chugach Mountains. Camping is available at Peters Creek Campground; whitewater paddling is delightful on Bird                  Creek. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area close to Symphony Lake has to offer. Good hiking is available along the Crow Pass Trail. The panorama of pretty Harp Mountain near Symphony Lake is good; if you came for an overnight stay Thunder Bird Falls Campground is a great site to camp.
