While you're here at Swan Lake you can take a hike along the Mount Verstovia Trail. Through the warm days of summer at Swan Lake temperatures are generally in the 60's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Swan Lake are in the 20's. There are other places here than Swan Lake, for example Mountain Point Community Reservoir; needless to say Cascade       Creek flows through this area. An out of the ordinary thing to have a look at right next door to Swan Lake is Cascade Creek Dam; Sitka National Historical Park is a pleasant local destination. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Gavan Hill Trail; taking a little journey to nearby Crescent Bay is a great idea. Lots of rainfall falls at Swan Lake; the month with most of the rain is October while June is ordinarily the driest month.
