Sitka National Historical Park is a good local destination here at Swan Lake, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Gavan       Hill Trail. The Starrigavan Fish Viewing Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to Swan Lake, and Crescent Bay is close by and always pleasant to visit. Swan Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is October, and June on the other                  hand is the driest. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Swan Lake called the Mount Verstovia Trail. All through the long summer days here at Swan Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 60's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Swan Lake. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Swan Lake. Cascade Creek is near Swan Lake and is always a pleasure to stop by, and while you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Sea Mountain Golf Course.
