A fine close by hotel is Country Rose Manor B&B, and Swan Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Montana Creek Campground is a pleasant place to camp nearby. Swan Lake is ordinarily a rather dried up place; September is the wettest month with most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. The Schooner Bend Trail offers hiking at its best, and a fine site to go to is American       Pass. If you need a place to stay Dimond Center Hotel is a splendid choice, and Juneau Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Throughout the summer highs here at Swan Lake get into the 60's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Swan Lake. What a site this is for outdoors people. There's whitewater on Kenai River                  for all you thrill seekers, and if you get bored of Swan Lake you could also have a look at close by Trout Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Katmai National Park & Preserve is one of the destinations next to Swan Lake that are perfect to go to, and don't leave Swan Lake without first going for a hike along the Bean Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
