There's whitewater on Kenai River for all you thrill seekers, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Swan Lake; Stetson Creek Trail is a glorious local trail. Dry warm beds await you at Country Rose Manor B&B. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Swan Lake has to offer, you can camp at Montana Creek Campground. A visit to Katmai National Park       & Preserve is worthwhile, and after a long day outdoors Dimond Center Hotel is a good place to spend a night or two. Near Swan Lake you discover American Pass which is a fine place to check out; wonderful hiking is available along the Bean Creek Trail. For the period of the summertime months at Swan Lake highs are usually in the 60's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows at Swan Lake through                  the winter typically sink into the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff next to Swan Lake. Swan Lake is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, Kenai Riverside Campground and RV Park is a magnificent spot to camp nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Schooner Bend Trail.
