A great location for whitewater paddling near Sunshine Lake is Nizina River, and Sunshine Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Glacier View Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby. Sunshine Lake is pretty dehydrated frequently; July is the wettest month with most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime highs at Sunshine Lake usually tend to be in the 60's with       overnight lows in the 40's.
