Ohmer Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground, and there are magnificent sites to explore along the Thoms Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Wrangell Lower Reservoir, and if you're here you should pop by Woronkofski Point. If you get bored of Sunrise Lake, you could also take a look at close by Kunk Lake; the summit of Elephants Nose can be spotted from Sunrise Lake.
