In Alaska there are many beautiful lakes, Sunrise Lake is one of them. Not far from Sunrise Lake, you'll come across Kunk Lake which is a wonderful lake, and the peak of Elephants Nose can be distinguished from Sunrise Lake. The high level of precipitation makes Sunrise Lake a relatively wet site; most of the rain falls through October; June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Woronkofski Point is reasonably in the vicinity of Sunrise Lake.

For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Sunrise Lake reach the 60's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Sunrise Lake dip into the 20's. A pleasant place to camp here at Sunrise Lake is Ohmer Creek Campground; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Thoms Lake Trail.
