Sevenmile Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and hey, Gunn Creek is a pleasant local stream. Summit Lake is pretty dried out typically; during July this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is March. All through the months of summer, highs usually are in the 60's at Summit Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 0's; after the       sun is down during the winter temperatures at Summit Lake descend into the-20's. While you're here at Summit Lake, you could also stop by charming Oxbow Lake, and Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is a good local destination. Summit Lake is located in the Alaska Range.
