A great close by hotel is Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge; a nice place for whitewater paddling is Kuskulana River. High temperatures at Summit Lake during the summer are in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 0's, and night lows through the wintertime for Summit Lake tend to be in the-20's. You'll stumble on a picturesque lake called Lower Tebay Lake near Summit Lake,

It is very dried out here at Summit Lake commonly; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and April meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
