There are some great whitewater spots on Sixmile River. Summit Lake is right by the Grant Lake Trail; a brilliant close by hotel is Trail Lake Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. The Devils Pass Trail offers hiking at its best; a brilliant site to camp here at Summit Lake is Henry's One Stop. There's perfect hiking along the Carter Lake Trail, and after a long day outdoors Hotel Edgewater and Conference Center       is a great spot to spend a night or two. So many exciting things near Summit Lake, clearly mind-blowing. Do pay a visit to Kenai Fjords National Park if you're here at Summit Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Canyon Creek. At Summit Lake all through the days of summer highs are in the 60's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Summit Lake are                  in the 10's. Camping at Coeur D'Alene Campground is always a great experience, and let's not forget Butcher Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here.
