For the period of the days of summer at Star Lake temperatures are regularly in the 60's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 0's with winter lows in the-20's overnight here at Star Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Kennicott River, and Star Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the       Wrangell Mountains. Why not pop by close by Kennicott River since you're here at Star Lake, and after a long day outdoors McCarthy Lodge & The Ma Johnsons Hotel is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Nizina River. Star Lake is a location that is quite arid ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month is April.
