Southern Lake commonly gets a large amount of rain; most of the snow falls through January, and the driest month is July. Sawmill Point is in the neighborhood and always tremendous to visit. There are other locations here than Southern Lake, for example Dolgoi Lake, and Southern Lake is in the neighborhood of Refuge       Rock which is absolutely worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. Elephant Lake is a nice lake in close proximity to Southern Lake, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Kodiak is a splendid choice. High temperatures at Southern Lake during the summer are in the 60's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
