Smith Lake is usually a rather dried up place; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is April. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Alpine Lodge is a pleasant choice, and Goldhill RV Park and Cabins is a good campground nearby. If you want a good       time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Smith Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Rivers Edge RV Park and Campgrnd is a pleasant spot to camp, and enjoy a round of golf at Fairbanks Golf & Country Club. You're possibly keen on lakes, Lake Killarney is one of those close by. The snow is delightful at Mt Aurora Skiland, and Cripple Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge is a brilliant                  site to get some rest; Gates Of The Arctic National Park & Preserve is one of the destinations that are glorious to stop at close by.
